The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 Android Smartphone

Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is the latest Android-based phone from the company and extends the appeal of the Xperia collection to new market segments. Along with its flagship X10 and entry-level X10 mini and mini pro, the X8 is a good addition to the company's Xperia lineup catering to mid-range consumers. You can basically think of the X8 as a cross between the X10 and the X10 mini/mini pro.
The Xperia X8 is an Android 1.6 powered smartphone with Sony Ericsson's customizable "four corner" user interface – which is similar to that of the Xperia X10 mini - for quick access to favorite applications. It also features Sony Ericsson's Timescape application for quickly staying in touch with all of your social networks. Although the X8 is launched primarily with Android 1.6, Sony Ericsson is planning to update the Xperia X8 to Android 2.1. In some markets, it might even be launched with Android 2.1 directly.
The Xperia X8 sports a 3-inch 480 x 320 capacitive touchscreen display, WiFi connectivity support, a 3.5mm headphone jack, a 3.2 megapixel camera, and FM radio. The device also comes with a 1,200mAh battery, a 600MHz processor, and a 2GB microSD card that can be upgraded to 16GB.
