Samsung W899 Smartphone Android Dengan Dukungan Jaringan CDMA dan GSM

Samsung baru saja memperkenalkan smartphoneAndroid terbaru yakni Samsung W899 yang akan diluncurkan di Cina. Samsung W899 merupakan smartphone clamshell berbasis Android 2.2 Froyo dengan dukungan jaringan CDMA (800/1900MHz) dan GSM (900/1800/1900MHz).  Samsung W899 smartphone dengan tebal 17.5mm ini dilengkapi dengan layar sentuh Super AMOLED WVGA 3.3 inci, WiFi, bluetooth, kamera 5 megapiksel dengan kemampuan merekam video HD 720p, kamera depan VGA, dukungan Flash 10.1, GPS, dan slot microSD up to 32GB.
Samsung W899 akan tersedia di Cina pada bulan Desember 2010 ini melalui operator China Telecom. Namun sayang belum ada kabar apakah Samsung akan meluncurkan Samsung W899 di Negara lainnya.

Toshiba Regza T-01C Ponsel Android Terbaru

Toshiba baru saja memperkenalkan smartphone Android pertama, membawa merek REGZA biasanya diperuntukkan bagi produk TV perusahaan ini. Smartphone berkualitas tinggi dari Toshiba bertipe T-01C memiliki layar empat inci resolusi 480×854  dan dilengkapi dengan kamera 12.2-megapiksel yang mampu merekam video 720p, juga memiliki TV tuner 1Seg dan bodi tahan air. Ponsel ini mendukung 3G berbasis HSPA , dan  memiliki built-in GPS, Wi-Fi dan Bluetooth 2.1.

Untuk membuat menonton TV lebih mudah, ponsel dilengkapi stand built-in sehingga ponsel bisa diposisikan berdiri dalam posisi lanskap/horizontal. sistem pembayaran nirkabel hampir standar di Jepang Felica juga terintegrasi ke handset ini. Android 2.1 akan dimuat, meskipun upgrade ke 2.2 konon akan tiba di musim semi. Toshiba belum menginformasikan tentang dukungan Android 2.3.
Handphone ini akan tiba untuk dijual di Jepang antara Desember 2010 dan Januari 2011.

Xperia X12 alias Sony Ericsson Anzu Foto & Spesifikasi

Andalan mendatang dari Sony Ericsson baru saja dipreview. Seperti yang diharapkan, smartphone Xperia X12 ini masih menjalankan Android 2.1 alias Eclair  tetapi kemungkinan Anzu akan didukung oleh Froyo pada saat dipasarkan ke toko-toko ( pada awal 2011) dan pada akhir musim panas 2011 itu harus mendapatkan update Google Gingerbread 2.3.

Kita juga  tahu lebih banyak tentang  spesifikasi Sony Ericsson XPERIA X12. Si Anzu ini dikatakan datang dengan prosesor 800MHz Qualcomm MSM 7230, sebuah layar 4.3 inci atau 4,2″ menurut rumor lain  LED touchscreen WVGA (dengan dukungan multi-touch), Wi-Fi 802.11n dukungan, port HDMI  serta ada jack audio standar 3.5mm.

Penerus dari Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 diharapkan memiliki ukuran antara 8.7mm dan 10.9 mm tebalnya dan akan diaktifkan oleh baterai 1500mAh . Sejauh ini info yang didapatkan kamera Anzu mungkin memiliki sensor 12MP atau 8.1MP  (dengan teknologi  Exmor R) dan akan mampu shooting video HD 720p.

LG Optimus S Handphone Android Froyo Entry Level Terbaru Harga Terjangkau

LG Optimus S adalah satu smartphone entry-level yang terjangkau harganya. Smartphone ini memiliki gaya minimalis candy-bar dengan soft finish touch di bagian belakang dan layar layar sentuh 3.2-inch HVGA resolusi 320×480pxdi bagian depan. LGAndroid versi 2.2 Froyo.  Ada juga kamera 3.2 mp pada ponsel ini. Optimus S ini menggunakan

Meizu M9II Android

Meizu M9II Android hadir bernuansa gabungan hitam dan putih. Versi terbarunya masih dalam penantian yaitu Meizu M9 yang akan hadir pada bulan Oktober mendatang. Sekilas dari sisi tampilan, bentuk kedua Meizu ini terlihat serupa dengan bentuk ponsel buatan Apple.

Kedua seri M9 akan hadir dengan OS Meizu-fied Android 2.2. Pada produk tersebut hanya terdapat sebuah perbedaan di mana M9II menggunakan layar sebesar 4 inci sedangkan pada M9 dengan layar 3,5 inci. Produk ini juga dilengkapi kamera di posisi depan dengan flash tambahan di bagian belakang. M9 Menggunakan CPU Cortex-A9 dan memiliki ukuran 64 mm x 118 mm x 9,5 mm.

Meizu M9 tidak akan dapat menjalankan sistem Android standard, tetapi hanya versi yang sudah customize dari Meizu. Meski demikian aplikasi akan tetap kompatibel dengan UI customize sehingga secara teori akan mampu menjalankan aplikasi download dari Android Market.

Meizu M9II Android akan hadir pada tahun 2011.

Sharp Luncurkan Duo Ponsel Android

SHARP meluncurkan dua ponsel Android-nya di Jepang. Adalah Galapagos 003SH dan Galapagos 005SH, ponsel yang dibekali fitur utama yaitu teknologi layar 3D.

Galapagos 005SH dibekali dengan sistem operasi Android Froyo, prosesor Snapdragon 1 GHz, memori internal 512 MB, keyboard QWERTY, keyboard Flip plus Pad navigasi 4 arah juga layar 3.8 inci beresolusi WVGA 800 x 480 pixel berteknologi Sharp Mobile ASV.

Untuk menambah maraknya ponsel ini, dibenamkan juga kamera 8 megapiksel, WiFi serta GPS. Sementara Galapagos 003SH memiliki spesifikasi yang pada dasarnya sama dengan Galapagos 005SH. Pembedanya adalah, Galapagos 003SH memiliki memori internal 400 MB dan kamera 9.6 megapiksel.

CSL Handroid Pad seri MI700

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com — Era tablet PC dengan OS Android semakin benar-benar tak terelakkan. Sabtu (30/10/2010) silam, Samsung Galaxy Tablet resmi dijual dan mendapat respons luar biasa. Senin (1/11/2010), CSL yang selama ini kita kenal mengusung sub-brand Blueberry pun merilis tablet Android bernama Handroid Pad seri MI700.

Hal ini sekaligus menahbiskan CSL sebagai brand lokal (meskipun headquarter-nya di Malaysia) pertama yang merilis tablet Android. Tak tanggung-tanggung, tablet berukuran 7 inci yang ditawarkan. Ini sama dengan ukuran Galaxy Tablet.

"Pasar aplikasi Android menunjukkan pertumbuhan yang menggembirakan. Tim Android developer menyatakan telah menembus angka 100.000 aplikasi. Selain itu, prospek pertumbuhan pasar tablet PC maupun ponsel semakin positif. Hal inilah yang melatarbelakangi diluncurkannya Handroid Pad CSL MI700," ujar Edmundus Leonard, GM Sales & Marketing CSL Blueberry.

Untuk melakukan penjualan, CSL Blueberry menggandeng operator 3 (Tri) sebagai mitra bundling dengan perangkat tersebut. "Kami menyambut gembira kerja sama dengan Tri dan CSL Blueberry yang memadukan antara layanan data dari Tri dengan tablet telepon berteknologi tinggi dari CSL Blueberry," ujar Surresh Reddy, Chief Marketing Officer Tri.

Leonard menambahkan bahwa tablet ini sekelas dengan tablet Android lain yang berada di kisaran Rp 6 juta. Dari segi desain memang sangat menarik. Dimensinya 179,4 x110 x 11,5 mm yang dibalut oleh material stainless steel memadukan dua warna, yaitu hitam dan putih. Sebuah kamera 3,2 MP menyembul di punggung untuk kebutuhan pemotretan.

Tablet yang menggunakan prosesor Qualcomm seri MSM 7227 ini telah memakai OS Android versi 2.2 alias Froyo. Sementara memorinya 512 MB ROM dan 512 MB RAM, plus cadangan memori eksternal microSD yang diklaim sanggup menelan data sampai 16 GB.

Memakai jaringan GSM dan UMTS pada frekuensi 900/1900/2100 MHz. Juga alternatif memakai jaringan Wi-Fi untuk koneksi nirkabel. Seperti pula layar pada tablet sejenis, MI700 telah menggunakan teknologi kapasitif dengan resolusi 400 x 800 pixel. Namun, kerapatan warnanya masih memakai 65.000 warna.

Fasilitas audio sanggup membaca berbagai format seperti "Perannya tidak hanya untuk kebutuhan akses internet (browsing, unduh aplikasi, chatting, social networking, dll), tetapi juga telefoni (tentu disarankan menggunakan handsfree), pun sebagai router Wi-Fi layaknya Mi-Fi yang pernah kami tulis beberapa minggu lalu. Dengan begitu, tablet yang memiliki fasilitas G-Sensor ini dapat berfungsi selayaknya sebuah hotspot, tetapi tentu dengan jumlah perangkat yang terhubung terbatas.

Handroid Pad CSL MI700 tampaknya jadi penantang tersendiri. Leonardo menyebutkan angka Rp 3.999.000 sebagai harga. "Kami ingin menghadirkan solusi telematika yang terintegrasi dalam satu perangkat, tentunya dengan harga yang sangat terjangkau bagi masyarakat Indonesia," tutupnya.

HTC Gratia

HTC telah meluncurkan smartphone terbarunya Android, HTC Gratia, handset ramping dan elegan yang akan menjadi klone HTC Aria untuk pasar Eropa. HTC Gratia  berukuran lebih dari empat inci untuk panjang dan akan menggunakan  prosesor Qualcomm 600MHz, 384MB RAM (512 ROM), kamera 5MP, layar sentuh 3,2 inci, Dualband 900/2100 HSPA / WCDMA dan beratnya akan relatif ringan ( sekitar 4 ons). Handset ini akan didukung oleh Android 2.2 Froyo dan akan menggunakan HTC Sense UI sebagai standar.

Acer Liquid Metal

Smartphone Acer Liquid Metal sebenarnya sudah sering bocor infonya tapi belum resmi diumumkan dan akhir Acer telah mengumumkan smartphone Android terbarunya ini. Spesifikasi Acer Liquid Metal lumayan juga dibanding pendahulunya di mana prosesor yang digunakan adalah 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 dan layarnya berukuran 3.6 Inci yang lebih besar 0.1 inci dibanding iPhone.

HTC Droid Incredible

Introduction

HTC’s Droid Incredible is essentially a jaguar-sleek version of the original Motorola Droid – comparatively the aging lion at this point. But the easily mockable moniker is not exactly appropriate. The iPhone was incredible. The original Droid was nearly incredible. This Incredible is more like the smooth, mature, professionally executed conclusion of all previous Android phones – the apex of the Android art. Apex – that would have been a good name. But it may not even live up to that description.

Features and Design

If you hold the original Motorola Droid and the Incredible side-by-side, there’s no contest, at least physically. Even though both occupy the same two dimensional area, the Incredible is about 13 percent thinner (0.47 inches deep to the Droid’s 0.54 inches) and more importantly, nearly an ounce and a half lighter than the pocket-sagging Droid. In some places, the Incredible is even thinner thanks to its sculpted, form-fitting rear cover, which is irregularly carved to match the battery compartment.

Both also run Android

2.1, which provides, among other things, seven roomy home screens compared to the Droid’s three. Tapping the Home key from any home screen gives you an iconic view of all seven.

Inside is where the Incredible raises the Droid bar. It’s powered by a swift 1GHz Snapdragon processor, compared to the Droid’s 550MHz engine, which means everything loads faster. YouTube videos load nearly a third faster on the Droid.

What the Incredible lacks is Droid’s slideout QWERTY, which is why the Droid is so bulky. Whether this is an improvement (beyond the weight issue) is a personal choice. If you don’t like touch keyboards, you won’t like the Incredible, especially considering its too-thin QWERTY in portrait mode, and vice versa.

The Incredible also includes an FM radio, lacking on the Droid. More importantly, Incredible includes 8GB of built-in memory, so you may be able to avoid prying open the battery cover to thread in a microSD card.

Buttons and Jacks

Like the Droid, the Incredible is largely devoid of external bulges and buttons. There’s a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a nearly flush power button up top, a similarly discreet volume toggle on the left perimeter, and that’s it. Touch keys for menu, back, home and search are positioned below the screen and above a tiny concave optical mouse, which functions like the trackpad on a laptop.

Display

Both phones sport a similarly long 3.7-inch, 480-by-800 pixel display (The Droid’s LCD is actually 800 x 854), the Incredible shows off an AMOLED, which is theoretically brighter and more battery-friendly than LCD, although you won’t see much viewing improvement considering Droid’s stellar screen. The Incredible’s AMOLED is a bit glossier, brighter and more colorful than Droid’s also excellent LCD, but these are slight differences perceived only by holding the two screens side-by-side.

Phone Functionality

Getting to the actual phone on the Incredible is easier than on the Droid, where “phone” is treated as another app rather than as a permanent part of the bottom of all the home screens. While the Incredible doesn’t merge Facebook data (such as a photo of the contact and profile info) in the address book as Droid does, you do conveniently get designated favorite callers atop the dialpad and a scrollable contact list that has to be clicked through separately on the Droid.

The Incredible’s phone quality is not good. Voices sound scratchy and filtered at both ends of calls, a far cry from the Droid’s clean, landline-like reception quality. The phone’s volume toggle is also nearly too flush to the phone, making it difficult to manipulate by feel while on a call.

In sort of a mini take-off on Motorola’s Motoblur, the Incredible includes something called Friend Stream, which unifies your Flickr, Facebook and Twitter streams in one place. But these three streams are so disparate, we’re not sure this is as handy as it sounds.

Web

Although both phones offer the same intuitive browser, the Incredible’s pages are presented against a strange, low-contrast blue-gray-white background, while the Droid’s egg white platform. But the Incredible’s pages snap into view around twice as fast as Droid’s. Articles pop up in around two seconds from CNN’s home page, for instance, and The New York Times home page loaded in three seconds flat, two or three seconds faster than on the Droid.

Camera

While an 8-megapixel camera may sound impressive, the Incredible continues the stupid tradition of tiny plastic lenses and digital interpolation, which spoil what could be reasonable replacements for a standalone digital camera. Not that the Incredible doesn’t take bright, colorful – and big – pictures, but details are digitally smudgy, Exhibit A why measuring photo results by resolution is dumb.

Although it has a dual-LED flash bright enough to overpower indoor subjects that wander too close to the lens, a dedicated external camera shutter button would have been nice; it’s hard to keep from blurring indoor shots having to touch the screen or optical mouse to take a shot.

Better is the Incredible’s video recorder, which captures 800-by-480-pixel MPEG-4 footage. While not HD, clips blow up full screen a bit smudgy, but remarkably clean of the usual excessive pixelation.

Battery Life

Even though AMOLED technology is supposed to result in, among other things, better battery life, Droid shockingly trumps Incredible by more than an hour in rated talk time (6.4 hours for Droid, although we got a lot more than that in our informal tests, vs. 5.2 hours for Incredible, which we surpassed by around an hour), and nearly twice as much standby time (270 vs. 149 hours). That’s an amazing and disappointing disparity, and means a higher chance of your Incredible not making it through a day without needing a boost.
